They are way nicer to see that is for sure. The first 22A that I bought did not have the HiViz sight on it. I had a chance at the range one day to use one that did have it. Well the rest is history, I sold the first one I bought and went out and bought the fancy model with the HiViz sight on it.
I might add that I have had almost ever .22 auto handgun there is and for the money it is hard to beat these guns, in my opinion.

I did the opposite. I went with the black version of the 22A-1 and standard sights. I didn't care for the 2-tone stainless/black version with the FO sights. But, then it's just personal preference. I think S&W discontinued this model.
