Smith and wesson 39-2

Hey , just had a quick question about these pistols . I know in their current form they are prohibited by barrel length but does anyone know if there is a slightly longer barrel for these ?

I really like these pistols and wouldnt mind getting one if they could be made restricted instead of prohib.

Myself & others have been looking for some time with no luck.

If I could get a longer barrel I would get mine changed from prohib to restricted. They are nice handguns. I really like mine.

There have been longer barrels in the past, every once in a while I see a gun with one. Can't remember where they came from though, sorry. Nice little guns, I enjoy mine, one of my favorite 9mm's. - dan

Many years ago, 5" barrels were sold in the US. None that I know of anywhere, now (you couldn't bring in a bbl. from the US anyway). I bought an old Model 39 and Barry Jensen of Bits of Pieces made a new barrel for it and re-registered the pistol as "restricted". I've always like the gun, maybe because I was around when they were introduced.
