I'm new to pistols. A used 422 is available through a gunsmith. Can you provide advice and opinion. Pros and cons of the 422?
Thanks,
Northolme

Honestly, it's one of the most accurate 22LR pistols I've owned, out of about the 50 that have worked their way in and out of my safe.

They're very nice. Our LGS has a like new one for ~$300. I dont need another one or I would have snagged it by now

They are great pistols (though extra mags are pricey and sometimes hard to find). Accurate and nice to shoot. I really enjoyed mine, but sold to a friend for his wife's first handgun, and she absolutely loves it. I had found a nice older S&W Model 41 to upgrade too, they also use the same magazine. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I like mine. It's a lightweight pistol since it is primarily aluminium with a steel liner and steel parts. So if you want a lower weight you'll like this one.

It shoots great with regular HV ammo or with SV ammo. I'd avoid Stingers or Mini Mags due to the higher recoil impulse that without a properly tuned recoil spring might result in the slide beating up the frame.

ive got the 422 and 622 and have had them for like 20 years or something silly like that.
super fun to shoot and really accurate.
my daughters learned to shoot pistol on them and my son will here probably next year.

Great inexpensive pistol to get kids into the game. My daughters and my friends daughter love them.
