Smith and Wesson 45 ACP Mag. Failure help

I noticed this evening that both of my S&W 45 ACP mags have broken feed lips, see pictures. I did a google search, but didn't find anything indicating a known issue.

I will send a note to S&W as an FYI, but not expecting much as the gun is an older E series, but very lightly used, love the gun, but this is very disappointing.


Wondering if anyone has had a similar experience?

Common with the older ACT mags....
You can buy some Elanders from Wolverine for $20, or Dlask mags which are the same as your ACT mags for $25.
I have about 10 of the newer ACT from when Wolverine had them for $18 and no issues with cracking.

Send an email with pics to Murray Charleton Enterprises. They are the warrant depot in Canada for S&W. I would order the Wilson Combat 47D mags from Brownell's. ACT mags are crap.
