Smith and Wesson 586/686 "jamming"

I bought a 686 a couple of months ago, and the same thing you are describing happened to me. The 686 was purchased new from an online store. I cleaned it really good before first firing it, and also after it jammed the first time, thinking that since it was a new gun there might be some small bits of metal leftover from the machining process. I then took it to the range and it jammed again.
Since its new and under warranty, I sent it in to one of the S&W warranty shops in Canada. I sent it in a couple of weeks ago for repair, and hope it comes back soon.
