Smith and Wesson 625

I actually know some one that has one.. But Its my greedy secret.. I did buy my unicorn 610. :D

The new Ruger Redhaw I believe does 45LC and 45ACP.

Took me a couple of years missing adds and a couple of failed deals to get one. I managed to find a excellent 5" 625-3. It was well worth the wait.

After hounding my buddy for a couple years I finally got him to sell me his mint PC 625 5"bbl and it's now on my "Never Sell List".
Keep searching. They are worth it IMO….

I've had a few over the years but for some reason I always let them go. I did recently pick up a 5 screw pre-25 in 45acp (sourced the cokes in a separate deal). This one I don't think I'll be letting go of.

^^Ditto. I also had a few M625's throughout the years and always ended up selling them. Kept both my 1 of 1500 dash 5 1993 Stocking Dealer Special (SDS prefix) in 45 Colt and his older brother, a Model of 1988 dash 2 BDC prefix with Pachmayr Gripper's that came from factory with the early production 625 -2 revolvers in '88 and early '89.

They are around. I've owned two, and sold them both. Value is around $1000-$1200 right now IMHO.

Sounds about right. A Model of 1988 will always sell at a premium tho, the initial "limited" run of dash 2 rolled marked model of 1988 had shorter or tighter chambers that made reloading a dirty gun problematic but also made the revolver more accurate and provide the ability to shoot the gun without moon clips a breeze. The later dash 2 (or early Model of 1989) and later guns corrected that tight chamber "problem". While it made the later guns easier to reload when very dirty, it also made them less accurate and the use of moon clips mandatory since it was nearly impossible to shoot without clips.

After a couple of years of missing them on the EE (sometimes by minutes), I broke down and bought one on the US auction house and had IRunGuns import it for me. It costs more (especially given the exchange now, rate was a bit better when I bought ]it) but I really wanted it. Just putting it out there as an option if you are willing to pay a bit more.

What did you pay?
Being looking for a PC 625 for years. Don't recall ever seeing a PC on EE.
Might have to just bite the bullet and import one.
