586-3 nickel. Very accurate. 4 inch groups at 50 yards.l or less if I lay off the coffee.

I have one of the 4.2" 686s up for sale in the EE....

When the time for a choice came of which to sell, the King Cobra or the 4.2" 686.... It was a tough choice, but how could you make any other.....

The 6" models are pretty nice too. I sold one of them to get the 4.2" when they came in.....

You might want to wait and see the new S&W model 66 in 4.2 barrel which should be in Canada soon.

I've got a 686-6 Plus Pro Series. 5 inch barrel and unfluted 7 round cylinder. Love it.
