Good day folks

I am looking for some information on an old Smith and Wesson .38 cal revolver. on the frame is " Baby Russian SA" Made in 1877. First question is would this be considered an antique and be exempt from the registration?
If it has to be registered, can you still register hand guns that are not in the system? Next question is what kind of price range would these go for.
Thank you for all your help.

I believe the cartridges that the gun came are on the list of cartridges that are not considered antique. If it is chambered in one of the following it is not considered an antique for legal purposes.

6. A handgun manufactured before 1898 that is capable of discharging only rim-fire cartridges, other than 22 Calibre Short, 22 Calibre Long or 22 Calibre Long Rifle cartridges.

7. A handgun manufactured before 1898 that is capable of discharging centre-fire cartridges, other than a handgun designed or adapted to discharge 32 Short Colt, 32 Long Colt, 32 Smith and Wesson, 32 Smith and Wesson Long, 32-20 Winchester, 38 Smith and Wesson, 38 Short Colt, 38 Long Colt, 38-40 Winchester, 44-40 Winchester, or 45 Colt cartridges.
