Smith and Wesson M&P 15/22

Hopefully we will see it as non restricted ......
Since rear stock is as one unit with the lower
and plug.

I live close to the U.S. and was down there last weekend and a guy I know has the colt and he just got the S&W so I was able to have a good look at both. I will be buying the S&W.
i would like one but
what made you decide on s&w?
i looked at photos and smith is polymer and colt is aluminium.. is that right?

Nothing wrong with polymer in my books if it's done right. It's been used in firearms for years with great results.

Some parts I wouldn't really care about but the scope rails and open sights? I think they are skimping out. For the price you pay for these things they should be better built. That being said thats my opinion I'm sure everyone can decide for themselves what they are going to buy.

i think id go with alu version not polymer. just cant get convinced,,,i do have a glock but it seems to be made out of different material than the sw. this rifle looks like sort of fibreglass which is more prone to cracking.. i have a feeling that it isnt as durable as glock.

You have a feeling eh, case closed then, don't get one, I for one will get one, and since I read enough reviews I know the S&W is a way better deal than the Colt. I guess only time will tell who's right.

The GENERAL consensus is that the M&P 15-22 is a MUCH BETTER rifle than the Colt. Google is your friend.

I was in the Washington state recently and got to handle both firearms.....M&P15-22 is the hands down winner.

Well I broke down..... I finally sold a Colt I had in the EE.

I ordered one from Frontier! It's a pre-order, but as soon as they get approval to sell/ship them..... I've got one on the way!!!

I am sure I'll have pics up about 30 min after I get it! :D

Cheers!

That is the ABSOLUTE worst isn't it......

When you got the money,
but they ain't got the product! :)

I was going to spend some of this $$ on the wife for christmas...... If it comes in time, she may be getting a 'gift' for both of us to share...... I'll be OK with that, she only comes to the range about 2 or 3 times a year! :D

Lol, I would spend some of it for my wife too, but that would be a slippery slope, gun money is for guns, wife money for the wife, and beer money for well you get the drift. I have to keep them all seperated don't want any worlds colliding.

trust me I'm just as pissed, and to make myself feel better I bought a foxpro fury!!!! That ought to show em!!!!!!

PS: I will still get this one the day its out!! I just need something to keep me happy until then.....
