Smith and Wesson m&p vs glock 17.... conversion kit

Looking for a smith and wesson m&p 9mil but want to be able to practice with .22lr for the cost factor
Is there a conversion kit available?

Would also consider a glock 17.

Thoughts?

I owned an Advantage Arms .22lr conversion kit for my Glock17. The kit ran great until it got dirty (~250rnds).
It became a PITA to swap back and forth and made the Glock feel way too light. Ended up selling the kit and buying a dedicated .22lr HG.

Consider a Sig 226 in .22lr …..then buy the 9mm exchange kit.

You can buy a M&P22 for about the same price as an AA kit for the Glock. Both work well, but something to consider. Perhaps you can find somebody to let you try both before you spend any money on either.

I'll echo the sentiment of buying a dedicated .22.

I have both AA and MP22. AA was cheaper and I shoot it much more then MP22 but if you gonna purchase MP9 or MP40 is the way, IMO.
