Just bought a Smith and Wesson model 15 6 inches ( Brand New ) in box

anybody have info on this since it is at least 10 years old - Can't believe it comes in new:confused:
 
According to the Second Edition of the Standard Catalog Smith and Wesson, the 6" Model 15 isn't very common. S&W made them with 6" and 8-3/8" barrels between 1986 and 1992. Yours is either a Model 15-5 or 15-6. Typically the Model 15 aka Combat Masterpiece is a 4" revolver although is also found with 2" barrels and there were apparently a few 5" models made as well.
 
sansuiguy, that is indeed a find. You encounter 6" M14s a lot but not 6" M15s. Enjoy your new toy. Regards, Richard :D
