Hello all,

I bought a Smith and Wesson MP 22 to get my kids going on handguns.

It fed fine for the first little while.

Now it seems to have FTE issues with the first 2 rounds out of the magazine. This is with 2 different magazines and varying amounts of rounds in the magazines.

I thought at first I had over lubricated it and the dirty rounds might have been mixing with the gun oil but I wiped it down and am having the same issues.

I have tried a couple different bullet manufacturers and am still having problems.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

What happens with your FTF issue? Does the round end up vertical instead of in the chamber? I have one mag for mine that I think the feed lips are a bit loose and if I slam it into the mag well too hard the round comes part way out of the feed lips and when the slide tries to push it forward it "misses" the chamber and ends up vertical. I keep meaning to give the feed lips on the mag a little squeeze in hopes of fixing this.

I also had a FTE problem with mine on the last outing that I'm pretty sure was just a piece of grit or something that wasn't allowing the ejector to grip the rim properly. I just field stripped it and manually moved the ejector a bunch of times and it seemed to be able to close more and worked fine after that.

You mentioned that you've tried a few different manufacturers ammo. I've had the best luck with CCI blazer and Thunderbolts, Federal was not working so good for me.

Static80 thanx for the ammo idea.

I tried the CCI Blazer ammo and everything cycled fine.

I had cleaned it extremely well before and tried a magazine of Winchester and had more feed issues.

Sticking to the CCI Blazer now!
