Hey there, does anyone know if the standard smith m14 mount (non acog ver.) is comparable with the current generation sage ebr stocks?

I know that some stocks in the past had the first few sections of the 12 o'clock position pic rail taken down so that they could be comparable with scope mounts.

When I'm looking at it the mount seems too low to clear the picatinny rails on the 12 o'clock position.

Are these mounts height adjustable?

Well thanks in advance for any help guys...

The SEI mounts are not height adjustable. I think you meant to say compatible.

If I had a Sage, I would go with the charger guide slot-mounted rear rail that co-witnesses with the handguard and forget about adding more weight to my rifle in the form of the SEI mount.

Claven you got a source for these Sage stripper clip sight base mounts? If you do that would be awesome, these are tough to find...

I'd love to get the sage cantilever mounts too.

I considered the leapers stripper clip pic mount but these are too high to line up with the rail.

From what I gether, they are about to be imported into Canada along with all the other Sage goodies and sold through places like Fabsports.

Sage International, Ltd. makes four top covers for the Sage M14 EBR stock, two without cuts for the SEI M14 scope mount and two with the machining cuts on the 12 o'clock rail. Sage part numbers as follows:

top cover 90988 medium weight profile barrel with 1.25 " milled off for Smith Enterprise scope mount
top cover 90990 standard profile barrel with 1.25 " milled off Smith Enterprise scope mount
top cover 90987 medium weight profile barrel
top cover 90901 standard profile barrel

These sage handguards are probably just as hard to get up here as the cantilever scope mounts.

What do you guys think about modifying either the upper handguard or the mount? Which would be easier and cleaner?
