Smith & Wesson 29-2 value

I have a S&W model 29-2 in 44 mag. it has the 8 3/8 barrel and the original presentation box and all paper work,. It is the stainless model, condition as new. Value please Thanks Glenn

I would guess in that condition,given that it has the original box etc,about $1000.Generally,the 8 3/4 inch barrels go for a bit less than the 6 or 6.5 inch barrels

Are you sure that the gun isnt nickle plated?,rather than stainless,I stand to be corrected,but I dont think that any 29-2,s were stainless

Blue book values are somewhat hit and miss,especially in the US,rather have a look on gunbroker,to see what the public is paying for firearms

What a deal, brand new they are over a grand U.S.. I looked on their site th other day at MRSP's and almost crapped myself.

If it were stainless, the model designation would carry a six in front. 629
