Smith & Wesson 500 Magnum Info

A friend of a friend has a S&W 500 Magnum he would like to sell. I don't know anything about these revolvers but would like to help him out. It looks like they go for $1500.00 new. I don't recall seeing any used ones on the EE. I don't imagine it would be something I would keep so just wondering if there is any demand for used ones and ball park price. Apparently it's in excellent condition.

What barrel length?

barrel length and model will play factors, is it the Performance Center model, does it have the interchangeable compensators, all things that will affect price.

As above, the specifics all add in. That said, I've seen them posted on the EE between the 1000 to 1400 range.

Market for such a gun is very limited....for good reason. It might take some time to sell or it could go in a day.

Too bad it wasn't the 6.5" model.
It would have sold for $1200, in seconds...to me.
