Interested in finding out what they guys think of the moon clip idea.
For this reason I have shyed away from the 625s.
I've been using RIMZ polymer clips (from beckhamdesign.com) in my 625 as they are easy to load and unload w/o a tool. Not as durable as the steel ones, however. I got them from Brownells but Beckham may be able to send them to you if there is no one up here carrying them.
However, I recently bought 45 Auto Rim brass, so I don't need the clips. The regular brass gets used in my 1911 only now. The HKS Model 25 speedloader apparently works with 45 Auto Rim brass if you want a speedloader.
I love my 625, which I got from a CGN'er last year when he upgraded to a Performance Center model. I did some internal action polishing and installed a Wolff Power Rib mainspring, which improved the DA pull. The single-action let-off is exemplary. I'm still a newbie with handguns but the last time I was at the range I got one 12-yd. target with all 6 rounds touching, which made me feel pretty good.
