I'm looking for a nice compact rimfire pistol. I initially wanted the Ruger SR22 pistol but seeing how the barrel is too short it's prohibited here. My 2nd choice is the S&W M&P 22 pistol. The website specs says the barrel length is 104mm. Canadian law says anything less than 105mm is prohibited. Did that 1mm make this pistol prohibited or was it approved here?

I have one of these guns, and it is absolutely one of the best .22 pistols I have ever owned. Absolutely reliable, and a ton of fun.
That said, it is in no way a compact pistol. It is a full sized M&P copy, and definitely larger than the SR22.

Excellent this is awesome news! I have my RPAL but I'm not a member at any range yet. Been trying to get into the Burlington Range & Revolver club but am on a long waiting list for their manditory safety classes. I'll wait till I get in then I'm buying this pistol for sure!
