Smith&Wesson M&P 9mm

I just bought a M&P with an Apex sear in it and I think this is the way to go. I have shot the stock M&P with and without the Apex sear, the Massachusetts compliant M&P with a 10 lb trigger and both the long (5") and short (4.25") versions of the Pro. The only gun that gave me problems was the Pro due to the dead trigger issue.

Overall, I think they have worked most of the kinks out of the design. The only issue I would be wary of is the dead trigger which occurs with some of the Pro model sears.

I think S&W will start using a redesigned sear block in the newer versions of the Pro, but we may not see these in Canada for a while so stick to the stock models or an M&P L and shoot it with the stock trigger or put in an Apex sear.

What is the trigger weight on a M&P9. I think I read somewhere that it was close to 7lbs but I'm not sure. If it is 7lbs that would make it heavier than the G17, right?
Thanks

Not sure on the actual weights, but the pull on the M&P does seem longer than the G17. Not a bad trigger though.

Good gun, 10-12,000 rounds through it and I`m starting to see some wear. Nice thing is the parts are cheap and a monkey could smith the gun. The trigger smoothes out quite nicely after 1,000 rounds or you can cheat and get an Apex sear and Striker Block. The trigger is actually quite customizeable by using a mix of Apex Duty, Competition and stock S&W parts.
