Smith & Wesson M&P

that statement makes no sense... ;) I'd be willing to bet that most people shooting the M&P in IPSC will be shooting 9mm ;)

If you want the scoring hit.

I just picked up my .40 this afternoon. I'm looking forward to range-testing it. Feels nice, anyway.

##### finding leather for it locally though.

It's a Production division style gun; no extra points for shooting anything larger than 9mm in Prod... that's what I was referring to. Of course if you want to shoot it in other divisions against STI and SVI race guns, well, I don't think the extra 1 point per C and D will make any great difference ;)

I have put 450 rounds through the M&P 9mm at TSE in the past 2 months, zero failures (with another 300 rounds through 6 other pistols) ... then bought one last week!

Sorry no video (at least not of the M&P).

Sorry..couldn't help myself..:D

Doesn't look chunky to me.... How many of us could hold our ear muffs
on our belly button and spine? She's a SGT to boot.

The M&P is an interesting pistol and Glock fans will like it.

I didn't like it all though. Nice trigger and nicer grip feel than the other plastics out there.

I I just fired the 9mm M&P a couple nights ago. I really like the trigger on the MP but the reset will take some getting used to. I only put 30 rounds through it and I really like it. The ergonomics are good and the overall fit and finish are good. Also, being a leftie this is one of the best for ambidextrious controls.
I dont like the mags. They seem cheaply built and I can see them causing problems when they wear. That is one thing that puts GLOCK ahead of other guns is good mags. Also I was checking on accessories holsters and mags to be exact and there isn't that much out there yet. The mags are going to be really expensive and hard to find I would say.

I think they took a lot of good ideas from GLOCK and even made some improvements specifically the trigger.

The M&P will be my next pistol.

Thanks everyone for your opinions. I'm still waiting to get approved :runaway: The amount of waiting is sad...i have to wait to get approved, then i have to wait for my range to fill out my ATT, then i have to wait for my full membership card(last time it took me 6 weeks to get my probationary card so i probally won't be taking my handgun to the range till 2010 )

I fired a few rounds of 9mm from an M&P. Somehow I managed to eject the magazine during recoil so that didn't leave me with a favorable impression, but it was probably just poor hand placement on my part.

P.S. If Julie's chunky, then I guess I likes 'em chunky too! ;)

That was my gun you fired at the range in Medicine Hat that day. It must have been your hand placement because in the 350 rounds that I have put through it that "problem" has never happened to me. The more I shoot my M&P the more I like it. I think its a great gun for the money. After shooting that .22 of yours, the 9mm must have been to much gun for you to handle.

Just jokes CanFire I liked your Sig.
