Who in Canada has these in stock? In a recent Shooting Times article they got a pretty good review. Thinking about getting the M&P15A or maybe the M&P15T (lots of rail) if they are available at a reasonable price here.

Anyone have one yet?

Keep in mind, that S&W doesn't manufacture any of the pieces from the rifle. They are all made by different makers, and put together in a S&W package.

Unless you REALLY want a S&W AR, I would suggest you could build one with your own specs and still come out ahead. A better AR, for a better price.

I handled a few down in the States (haven't fired it), and they looked no better than any other AR I've ever handled.

Wow. Now what makes them so scary to the US export guys? Did they ban export only to the scary Canadians or the whole world?

Guess I will have to look at something else... :(

As I said they are already here...Stag Arms from AEI, the importer has not given up though...they will retry to import.

If you desperately need that S&W rollmark, just get Questar to import you a lower reciever and get the rest from AEI.

I think there may be a miscommunication here. AEI has not tried to import the S&W, maybe someone else did?

The rest is correct though, these are all CMT/Stag, other than the rail and sights on the T model. The standard M&P-15 is a rebranded Stag 1R.

We can get them if anyone wants one, you'll be paying more for a rollmark though. ;)

Cheers,

Being a new, in-demand product S&W will fill all American orders first. It may be some time before Canadian distributors have M&P15 available for import. Questar may be your fast option if you can't wait.

I'm the impatient type and I want one too, so I might contact Questar about one.
