Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport 5.56 NATO LE/Military Promo $749.95

What makes the S&W M&P 15 restricted to LM/ mil only? It is still restricted like other ARs and still pinned to 5. No special barrel length, no special optics... Is it b/c of collector value? It's even called a Sporter, not some military type name. Check my other post on Black rifles. Got one S&W M&P 15 2 weeks ago with a bunch of accessories for under $2000 at my local store. Ok, had one, wife made me return it...don't laugh....Anyway, saw it again yesterday, still there! No LM restriction on that one.
Not questioning, just wondering why so special? If there is a reason, I may just go down and buy the thing again, wife be da##n!!

It isn't restricted to LE/Military, the deal is.

Yes, but when are the rest of us going to be able to get our greedy mitts on one??

I don't mind seeing the military/LEO's get a deal, but it sure would be nice to have a few available for us regular Joes (and Janes! lol)
 
Is it possible to hold one until I apply, get accepted, graduate police academy and get on a police force?

Also, after the 10TR deal... while I'm not exactly known for being a thinking man... it might be just a tad too soon to push my luck this one more time. Dammit...
