This barrel is no thinner than the thinnest part of M4 profile barrel which is under the handguard. And with the Canadian gun laws on reduced magazine capacity, you will never be able to heat up the barrel enough to cause any problems.

Remember a thin barrel is quick to heat up but just as quick to cool down.

It is mid-length gas. It's a special single-stage trigger from Geiselle made just for this rifle.
