Is S&W discontinuing the 22LR M&P line or just the full size version? This is a great pistol by the way, eats Winchester 525 and Federal Bulk.

How long is the barrel on this: M&P®22 COMPACT Threaded Barrel <https://www.smith-wesson.com/product/mp-22?sku=10199>?

Have you imported any of those?

M&P®22 COMPACT Threaded Barrel is the way. It's a different gun, it works differently and is made in USA, unlike standard version made by Walther in Germany (stupidly overengineered, I must say, a signature of many German guns).
Moreover Compact has very good reviews on reliability, much better than Regular.
I hope they will be able to come up with model based on Compact , with barrel that will grand restricted status here. I would buy one in a heartbeat.

I have one of these and use it as a trainer since 22lr is so cheap. I wish they made a 2.0 version!

One of the best purchases I've made. Generally, I don't get any more than 300 rounds out of it before reliability begins to drop off (mostly FTE's) and need to clean it.

CCI Mini Mags are fun and very accurate. As far as bulk is concerned, I get far better results with Federal Champion then I do with Winchester.

I had one of these and put at least 50k rounds thought it. Ran flawless with anything 40 grain - I used bulk Blazer and it ran like a champ. Cool pistols and a bummer to see production end. Hopefully a Canadian compliant version of the compact will make its way up here one day. More .22 pistols the better.

I’ve got one from day 1 they were released. Somewhat ammo picky for mine and more often than I would like it has a FTE or FTF with thunderbolts or wildcats. CCI standard works fine.

Most of my friends first handgun to try out

Few vendors have them in stock.

Not long ago, you could buy the full size 9mm versions for a few dollars more, which was the mindset for many. I wonder with ammo prices rising if 22lr pistols will surge.

Do you know which ones have the last production run in stock ? I have one now and it’s a good 5+ years old. Wouldn’t mind a newer run one now

Are there spare mags available for this batch? Non of your stocking dealers have em in stock. Would like to order the pistol but 1 mag pretty much makes it zero fun

I love mine...super reliable. Only downsides are the expensive mags and a bit hard to find. Oh and the sights are terrible. I cannot believe their design choice about them.

I wonder what are the plans for a replacement model. They had a winner there for sure.
