I have owned various semi auto 22's, Rugers, Brownings, ISSC, GSG's and I am telling you this!
Smith &Wesson has it figured out with the M&P22 I got it out of the box wiped it down and took it to the range and I fed it garbage cheap ammo it fired every shot I fed it the CCI minimags I figured I would need for the break in it ate it, I fed it my favourite stuff Winchester M22 it ate all of it and never hiccup'd once, I am saying this from all my experiences "breaking in" the semi auto 22's this is the BEST semi outo 22 out of the box I have ever fired bar none way to go S&W
I was really starting to lose faith in the semi auto 22's

If there are any fence sitters right now you need to jump on these you will love them what a pity that we rate a gun on the fact you can clear out a magazine or two without any FTE and FTF hey
oh well I have mine and will stop the search!!!

I have my name on one at the local dealer, I was on the fence, went and looked at it, felt it and left. When i went back it was sold. My only issue is the difficulty in getting extra mags for it. I have searched the interweb almost everyday trying to find them!!!

where did you order the mags from?

Any LGS that carries the M&P can also order in the mags... Mine gets them in regularly... Just go to your LGS and have them order them for you... BUT, if I read your post right you didn't even buy the gun.

I just picked one up "for the wife". I should have the transfer completed tmrw. Shame about the extra mags tho. Cant find them anywhere.

Ya it seems really great right out of the box, I am quickly learning that if you have to break in a handgun to cycle rounds its cause its not worth a pinch of koon crap!!! It is too bad that the mags aren't readily available SFRC sold me my gun they were the best deal I found

I bought four mags with mine... It is a fun gun, not a serious "accuracy" gun, but as has been said, cycles everything... I stick with Mini-Mag solids.
