Smith & Wesson SD40 VE

Looks like Prairie Gun Trader has a SD40 VE in stock for $400!

Smith & Wesson SD40 VE Semi-auto, 40S&W, 4.25" barrel, 2 mags, Polymer lower, Stainless upper, #10115 $399.99

If they're that rare and in demand, someone will buy it at that price. Bud's Gun Shop has the SD40 VE for $331 US, that's almost what PGT's pricing is at when converted.

They did sell fast before Christmas, and all the shops seemed to have quite a few, which is normal for an inexpensive new handgun, especially a Smith and Wesson!! I believe though that more are on order for all these shops so we will see more relatively soon!
What we need is a good supplier of reasonable priced spring and trigger kits!
If more guns come in reasonably priced, AND the trigger kits come in, I may go for a .40 to go with my 9mm, this is my first 9mm as i tend to like the .45 both in the acp and antique calibers!

^ They most likely will be restocked, but the prices may fluctuate as our dollar tanked the last few weeks. Around 20c on the dollar to buy US cash right now and the best US prices for these seem to be around $395 when you factor in the exchange. I think they'll be more than $359-369 when they get restocked.

Prairie has always had competitive prices when I've bought from them (free shipping for handguns too). That might well be the new our-dollar-blows price...

you may be right and free shipping helps, general in windsor just said they would have them back in soon, i asked about Mags and spring kits. I got lucky with reliables sale mine was $315 but if I get a .40 might have to pay more, then if you add in say $60 for the spring and trigger kits you are into the next level of pistol, perhaps!

That sale at Reliable was ridiculously good. Price for what I got was substantially less than I've seen the same piece going for used. :)

$315 CDN is better than USA pricing.

Took a buddy to the range and he went from my Sig 226 Elite w/SRT to my SD9 and made a face. Damn, that trigger is bad. I have the spring kit and haven't installed it yet, unsure if I'll attempt it as I usually screw up small tasks like this. If my Sig 2022 comes and I like it better, I'll throw my SD9 on the EE with the trigger spring kit. I want to like the pistol but I'm a Sig guy.

If PGT's price includes free shipping, then it's not that bad of a deal. Someone will buy it.

I just bought there last one

I also bought an SD9 from jobrook a few days ago. Glad I jumped on it because I don't know where there are any more of the SD9's in stock. Didn't really plan on buying this right now but unfortunately with the way our dollar is I don't think you'll be able to find anymore close to this price with free shipping anytime soon. For anyone still looking P&D has an SD40 listed on their site for $380.

They had them at P and D in .40 this week. One was priced at 280 and I tried to buy it but they said it was a mistake and its supposed to be 380. I bought it in 9mm for 350 from p and d before prices went up. Got the spring trigger kit for 24.00 from Milarm and installed it. Makes a good difference. I am happy with the 9mm for the price. Good quality for that price. Well made and relatively solid.
