SMLE Firing Pin / Bolt Disassembly Tool

Fellows,

Does anyone know where I could find a SMLE Firing Pin / Bolt Disassembly Tool? I have heard they are simple to make. Does anyone have the specs or diagram I could use?

I wonder if CGN member Gairlochian wouldn't have one already made and ready to go? I think he makes them.

Fairly easy to make one yourself. Get a 6mm deep socket (5 cm long one) and use a Dremel to cut two ears(1/8 inch long, and 1/8 wide). It takes 20 minutes to make one. If you need some photos, email me.

I used a bolt and spun it on the lath to size, then with a cuter in the lathe head milled the prongs.

It really took me 3 tries to get it just right, the first 2 were not thick enough and ended up twisting off the prongs

The armouriers manual describes how to make this tool using a bolt and some pins that are welded on then turned down.
