SMLE sling

Hey guys,

I'm just wondering what sling is proper to use for an SMLE. I've seen the leather and fabric ones online, both saying they were issued in WW1. So, which one would you guys recommend? I have a 1918 SMLE if that makes a difference, maybe leather slings were out by the end of the war or something?

I think leather was out of fashion on the Western Front by 1918, being harder to maintain in the muddy trench conditions and, I am almost certain, it would have been more expensive.

The Webb sling would be proper for the 1918 SMLE. As mentioned, leather slings were on the way out, except for some snipers and specialized troops.
