SMLE Sporter Scout Scope Mount

Has anybody mounted a long eye relief scope on a SMLE? I have a nice sporter that is in dire need of a scope. I don't think a sidemount will work because the charging bridge was removed and my smith says there isn't enough metal there to D/T.

I saw the one from XS sight systems. Looks like it epoxies to the barrel? Are there any cantilever type mounts that will fit in the rear sight mount? I saw a nice one for the Mausers over on surplusrifle.com but I don't think that company makes one for the SMLE.

The XS is a great mount. Just finishing putting one on my no. 4 to no. 5 conversion. My gunsmithing guru has one on one of his enfields as well...

Thanks - so how exactly does it mount? Is it a D-I-Y kind of job?

Unfortunately I didn't take any photos, but you just slide it over the barrel, pour in the epoxy that comes with it, and level it.

Wow, almost sounds too simple. I guess once its on, it isn't coming off too easily.
