Hi,I thought I would start a thread about SMLE target rifles.
I like target rifles because each one is unique.
Would like more info and history of these rifles. Can anybody suggest any books or web sites?
I feel bad now that I only have a couple. Here is the first one, a NRF converted by Martin, complete with hose clamp:
I bought this rifle along with a DCRA No 4 conversion that apparently belonged to the same shooter. They came in a home made wooden transit crate with a bunch of parts and cleaning equipment.
The other is an Austrailian No 1 Mk III with the H barrel but no fancy sights. It's the one on the bottom:
Before Skennerton's book when i was just starting collecting enfields, a local gun store had a No4 "regulated by Fulton" Enfields were cheap back then and I passed on it cause I though the price was too high.

Nice collection !!! Wouldn't mind seeing a Picture of your Super Bee as well, Don't think anyone would mind. Except maybe all the Chevy and Ford fans 62440 Got to Go
What was that bit in the Bible, Exodus, I think, about coveting another man's wife or his ass? Don't seem to remember anything about ot covetting SMLEs!
