Lady 'Tree-o-Tree' still does the job!

Edit - hmm. Thought that would do more than just post the URL. A good hunt, anyway.

Geez, whoda thunk a 303 was strong enough for moose??????

Nice video. Just out of curiosity, you guys don't have to wear blaze orange when out gun hunting?

Not my hunt - several-and-a-half time zones to the East - but I don't think blaze orange is a requirement on the Rock.

One would not want to sell the old 303 British short on effectiveness.
We have many 308 Winchester users on here, and the 303 is basically
a ballistic twin to the 308. Case capacities are virtually identical, and
while the Lee-Enfield may not like higher pressures much, the rounds
are, for all practical purposes, in the same class.
Many years ago, I was working in the valley that is now flooded by the
Mica Creek Dam, north of Revelstoke. The valley was full of moose, so the
Wildlife branch had opened a generous season on moose to thin their ranks
before the valley was flooded. My 303 British accounted for 4 moose that fall,
with only 5 shots fired...this speaks for itself. D.

Thanks nice video and good shooting with open sights. I don't know why these people who never hunted and have no knowledge of guns watch the youtube videos and then post nasty comments.

i can count and recall how many big game animals I have taken with other calibers over the past 25 years but I have long lost count of how many big game animals I have harvested with one.... or occasionally 2 barks from my dad's ol 303 british. I've even custom built a few .303's into awesome hunting rifles and plan to do just that again over the winter.
a clean shot inside 300 yards and it's all over but the hard work
