Good tip. Works like a charm on my k22s.

Took the above out to the range tonight. Using CCI minimags, cci stingers and federal champion rounds. Minimags all fired smoothly without issue. Stingers as well, although I had one FTF. Had 3 stovetops, 2 FTE and 2-3 FTF with the Federal stuff. Quickly stopped using those...

All in all though, a great little shooter.

CCI Velocitor 40 Grain Hollow Point 1435 FPS 2 FTF (Rounds were chambered but no firing pin strike, removed the mag, and re racked the slide and those rounds fired)
Winchester White Box bulk 36 Grain Hollow Point 1280 FPS 3 FTF so I ran a second mag through except this time I had 2 FTE's.
Remington Golden Bullet 36 Grain Hollow Point 1280 FPS 3 FTF's same as the Velocitor's rounds fed properly and were chambered but no pin strike.

Just as a comparison, my buddy brought his M&P 22 which he's had for a while and it had no issues with the Remington's or the Winchesters so I'm not sure how scientific my results are, if the K22S needs to be broken in, if I need to use the heavier spring, of if the cold was affecting it, I do know that the cold was affecting my fingers which is why I didn't try the heavier spring.

I hope this helps some of you out, the next time I go out, I'll do a magazine of each using each spring and post the result, but it may be a little while till I get to it as I'll want to do that when it's a little warmer out.

Had a chance to take the K22S out today. It was a little warmer than last time at 11.5 degrees but raining

Here's the ammo I used and my results

These are using the lighter Spring:

1 Magazine of CCI Mini-Mags 36G 1260FPS 1 Failure to Fire, round was chambered but no pin strike
1 Magazine of Federal Champion 40G 1240FPS 0 issues
1 Magazine of Winchester White box 36G 1280FPS 3 Failure to Fire no pin strike and 1 feeding issue it ended up bending the round almost 90 degrees.
1 Magazine of Remington Golden Bullet 36G 1280FPS 2 Failure to fires again no pin strikes, rounds were chambered leave the round chambered and removing the mag I was able to fire these 2 rounds

I swapped out to the heaver spring for the following tests:
1 magazine of CCI mini-mags no problems
1 magazine of Federal Champion 1 Failure to Fire, same as above round chambered but no pin strike
1 magazine of CCI Velocitor 40G 1435 FPS no problems
1 magazine of Winchester White box 4 Failure To fire
1 magazine of Blazer 22LR 40G 1235 FPS no problems

So the heavier spring seems to work better but mine really doesn't like the Winchester bulk which is fine as my ISSC MK22 shoots it without any problems. For the most part all my failures have been identical regardless of the type of ammo. The round chamber properly but the firing pin doesn't strike. I'll try to take out again later this week and I'll keep you updated with the results.

I'm interested to see if any other K22S are seeing the same thing as me with the rounds being chambered but no strike and to which spring they're using.
 
As another alternative:
STI GP6 Magazine

I just got it today. Locks in, feeds snapcaps. Only issue is that its a bit sticky to release - it won't drop free, I have to pull it out. The GP6 is the earlier version built for STI as I understand it. I also bought 2x tangfolio magazines - I still need to try adding in the front notch. I'll add in some pictures showing the differences between mags later.

A Grand Power mag that came with my K100, a Tangfolio 9mm mag, and an STI GP6 mag. The tangfolio mag requires a cutout on the front, which I'll likely try this weekend. The GP6 mag fits, but drags a bit more entering the magwell. As mentioned, I need to pull it out, it won't drop free.

I modified a couple tangos to get me by but would love to find some factory mags... Trigger wholesale won't return an email, and I have called every place I could think of to get my hands on a dozen of these...

Trigger is really stepping up the service and parts availability compared to the last 3 distributors..... Lol
All I can say is I sure as #### ain't paying $60 a mag....

they don't answer my emails too. sucks.....it'd be nice to have more than one mag
 
The manufacturer and distributor are missing a great opportunity here. They have a sudden spike in purchases/ownership.
It appears the guns could use some tweaking.
Organize a seminar, show a number of owners what needs to be done, videotape the process so everyone can see it.
A big group of happy owners telling their pals would go a long way in driving sales.

I agree.....if you're trying to get into the market, best to be able to buy magazines and accessories. nobody wants a gun you can't get parts for
 
I've dealt with Trigger in the past and talked with the owner in person......good service at that time.
I wonder what's up?

It's tough to break into this market and having poor customer relations skills on the part of the distributer won't make it any easier. I emailed Trigger awhile ago asking who stocked their product (ie: where I could see the lineup) and never received the courtesy of a reply. Having Canuck say "I already answered that in another thread.....any dealer can order one" was hardly a helpful response. :rolleyes:

Grand Power seems to build some decent guns (although I think the new price points may be a little optimistic on their part). It would be a shame if it became a case of "I remember those guns....I wonder what ever happened to them?"
 
I've found Canuck223 to be pretty helpful in the past. I'm sure he's putting the heat on to get the parts situation straightened out. It just takes some time to set up a whole supply chain.
 
A quick reply via email doesn't take to long, and what's the point of working hard to get things rolling if you are alienating your customers while you do it?
 
As far as I know trigger wholesale is a distributor and only sells to retailers. Wouldn't it make more sense to contact your dealer and ask them to contact trigger? I know if I was running trigger id keep the chain of communication with my retailers and let them be my mouthpiece.

We've all seen tons of dealers on here get flammed almost every time they commented on a topic.

I also think this is a great new product and as with all firearms related items imports are long and promises are often broken.
 
Pretty sure Canuck said that parts would be available directly from Trigger.
If that is not the case then Trigger can formulate a standard email response to all inquires and simply hit "reply"

Does Trigger still list a phone number?
