Smooth Bore Barrels And Slugs........

Hey all.

Looking at running a Mossberg 590 and a Dominion Arms Grizzly with slugs.

Will they both handle all slugs or just the rifled ones?

Will they handle the Breneke's (sp)?

Only shot slugs once out of an 870, 28" barrel. Not sure what choke I even had in.........

the will handle all slugs.

you'll get the best accuracy in a smooth bore with plain old fosters. Breneke is a european word for just a foster slug, but the term has become a "brand" as well, where the plastic wad is attached to the projectile, increasing accuracy and penitration.

a rifled choke will give you accuracy with Sabot slugs, but from anything smooth they won't group.

try to avoid shooting slugs out of chokes with greater constrictions then Mod.

you can shot any rifled slug from these guns just check the leighth sabots slugs will shot but not very concistent
