Hi everyone,
I was wondering which brand makes the smoothest bolt action?
Tikka has a nice smooth system. How do the others compare?
Thanks

of current models Ive seen, Tikka T3

Ive seen some Rem 700s from the 70s and 80s that were quite slick, but new ones arent as good

"Smoothness" also depends on which case is being fed into the chamber. I have a Browning Safari in 300H&H that is pretty smooth. I doubt that a 7MMMag would be as smooth feeding in the same action.

I also have a Remington Custom Shop in 375H&H that is noticeably smoother than other Remingtons.

The Voere Titan II (also produced as the Mauser 99 and 200) is the slickest action. With the bolt open and back, tilt the rifle forward and pull the trigger. The bolt will slide closed and lock under its own weight. The play when the bolt is open is virtually zero.

The Mannlicher-Schoenauer M1903 is also very nice.

When you shoot a 1900 action Husqvarna the bolt comes up and ejects the shell automatically.

You are repeating yourself. I think we get the point.
