Gentlemen,

Just wanted to share several hours of online research and price comparisons that I've done .

Obviously opinions may vary, but I think the best dummy rounds or so-called snap caps (who came up with that term) for safe training, practice, and cycling of the weapon are these ST Action Pro products.

Genuine, non-painted brass or nickel casing / bases, simple and solid, none of the chipping flaking or jamming that the aluminum and enameled A-zooms are cursed for, and an excellent, obvious florescent orange color.

Trouble is, they were not so easy to find in Canada online, and the prices were high. I ordered through Amazon.ca and then they were shipped from the USA, with added duty to my chagrin

Then I found this Canadian vendor: I don’t know who they are, but this is the best price I have seen by far, especially if you want to get several dozen in several calibers

I can't make anything for $1.45.

Have you seen these? - $1.45 for one of these little orange fluorescent beauties is a great deal. Now at $4.50 a piece... then you have a point

I've seen a bunch of those in the garbage at the range, 556 an 9. I think LEOs use them randomly in their mags, for stoppage training.

Anyways, of course this depends on the firearm, but I would want the ones that have something for the firing pin to strike.
