Hi. I have a Blackhawk that was having problems. Sent it to Snapshots in Quebec on the 14th, got it back today. I am quite impressed with the turnaround and the Canada Post shipping. If you have a Ruger product that needs help, don't hesitate to send it to Snapshots.

Have they finally stepped up their game? Took several months for them to sort out some defective mags. Then took them 6 months for them just to respond to me about getting a replacement part which then took several more months for them to find which they never did notify having come in so I moved on. Then the last issue I had with a Ruger went on over a year I think before having to e-mail the head office in the US to finally get things moving which got me a nasty email back from Snapshots saying they knew it was me who "ratted them out". Which I then forwarded back to the head office and told them I wouldn't buy another Ruger product until they ditched their current Canadian repair/warranty depot, Snapshots.

The front sites on the early SR 1911's were prone to breaking off.

Do they fix/replace those there, too?

Pretty much mirrors my experience a few years back..... terrible communication, terrible service.
They were quick to blame Ruger for their lack of parts but based on the bad communications I took their blaming someone else as just another character flaw.

Looks like they finally got their act together. When I sent in the frame for my Ruger MKIV upgrade, the replacement was back within a week.

Did a couple of Ruger parts orders from them, prompt and professional.

They are the "official" Ruger parts depot for Canada.

They turned me away from Ruger products.

I bought a used 2245. Guy never took the plug screws out or ever mounted the scope mount. When I decided to installed the mount. I noticed it was crooked. So I sent it back for warranty. 6 month later I get another 2245, with the front sight is crooked. Ask them about that, Yeah we seen that and fixed it good enough, was their reply. And than the rear sight broke. Wanted to give me a 3rd and I said screw Ruger products.

But I was quite disappointed with them, because rather than telling me about the front sight, they fixed it good enough that they sent it to me. Even the wife that barely shoots noticed it. So left factory crooked, get to the warranty center and gets fixed good enough and sent to the customer not impressed.

I told the head office as well. US depot was great, snapshot just plain ol' sucked. Wouldn't buy another Ruger again.
