I'm feeling very accomplished today. Why, might you ask? Well, because I FINALLY was able to find an Austro-Hungarian Empire flag, so I can finally work on an area of the MKL that was sorely lacking. The WW1 era Austro-Hungarian Empire! Expect a nifty new gallery in the very near term, but as a teaser pic to help me celebrate, here's an original M95 that's still in 8x50R.

is that 8x56R ammo in the display? shouldn't the ammo be roundnosed?

No, actually it's real actual milsurp 8x50R - not even reloaded. It came in spitzer too.

Here's a comparisson photo for you:

top round is 8x50R, bottom is 8x56R. Both rounds are milsurp ammo. Top round is Austrian WW1, bottom is German WW2.

ah, i was under the mistaken impression that the 8x56R was when they upgraded to spitzer.
