A friend of mine recently literally found a Snider Enfield conversion behind a door in an old building...rough shape and needs a lot of parts. After doing his research he found that it was actually issued for use in the northwest rebellion.
I didnt get all the details but hes having it confirmed by the experts around here sometime this week.
Anyways...although its too far gone to make a shooter out of it he wants to restore the thing and put it on display.
Anybody have a source for parts? Its missing the hammer/sideplate, trigger guard and is in need of a new stock. All the markings on the original stock are gone...its been really bubbu'd badly - chopped, carved, banged up. you name it.
