Sniper/Precision Match: What are you using?

I understand fully . I'm gonna get my arse kicked by some pros!

None of us are pro's, just civvie hacks. But yes you may take an ass kickin' but with learning it's all good!:D There are maybe six actual snipers on this board, and none of them post anything, they just lurk and criticize CGN rather than post their opinions;)

I use a Savage 10FP in .223 & a Rem LTR in .308 for my tac drives..
I should acquire a .338LM later this year for my long distance calls :)

I know of two that frequent here, but they do not always lurk, they actually post sometimes as well!
I also know more than a few that have stated elsewhere that
they were on rifle teams, "special ops" etc.
It doesn't take long to to find out just what they DON't know!:bsFlag:

thankfully i never p[roclaim to be anything other then a broke gimp LOL who cant shoot worth a damn compared to most:D

SKBY: Well that depends on what kind of match this really is !

Airborn: Are you using both for the match?

LRC: Good to hear! Come out if you can!

Cat: That's true, but I've met quite a few guys who were quite down-to-earth and are really outstanding guys. Sure, they don't know as much as you guys do about shooting, but they know a hell of a lot when it comes to doing their job.

the guys that know what they are doing are always more than interested in helping out new shooters. the rest of us? well we'll try but I'd take most of our advice with a grain of salt.

Hopefully my exams won't interfere; if they do, I'll find a way to get them re-scheduled. Most of my teachers know I love shooting and wouldn't mind making an effort to make sure I can be there for the match.

Very true though; I got taught by a guy in the BCRA a number of years ago, and he really knew what he was doing. And yeah, there's a hell of a lot more to being a sniper than being able to shoot well.

I never thought of that, my wife has a Model 10FP in .223 maybe she will let me use it for the shoot, I have a model 12BVSS .223 in a choate if that qualifies. I may make Chilliwak after all.

Dude, .223 will work just fine at our match.:p ;) Either of those guns you mention will do the job.

You can't ditch us that easily..............;)

Heck, there's times I have a hard time hitting the GROUND consistantly!:D
And for the record, always willing to help someone out, they just have to ask!
( if you wish to take advice from an over the hill old fart!)
