Snow on sept 15th ?

We got a little bit in Northern AB, melted fast though. But it is a lot colder than a week ago.

Ahh but this will help to get the bulls moving.

I was just talking to a friend in another community. She is from Alberta..

Here is what she woke up to..

Gees!

Too early for snow! And up here in Northeastern Ontario, last week it dipped down to 1C, lost most of my garden due to frost. But it has now warmed up again back to seasonal temps.

I think we're going to have an indian summer up this way, but I won't speak so soon.

Amphibious Says: just came back from morning down the Kluskus (Sp?) snow in the bush there, all puddles frozen, lots of frost in the blocks. was east thursday, snow up high, starting around the 5500ft mark.

ours melted as well in town but higher it stayed and is awfull white looking, get them critters moving hopefully

and Mommabear a REAL winter would be a plesant change here, our coldest day last winter was -3 average day was around 3 or 4 above ...made for a great work winter though

Ok , hun, got my fingers crossed for a better winter in your area! ;)

I was ATV'ing up in the hills behind Kamloops on the 13th (thursday) in a blizzard for a couple hours. Getting back to Green Lake, there was snow from Big Bar hill all the way to 70 Mile and beyond. Didn't last long, it's all gone now, but still.... we usually don't get our first snowfall until Halloween!

Get the snowmobiles ready!

heck no haha, I love working in the conditions we had last year was a money year , but for hunting season it could drop to -5 or -10 and give us a dusting of snow and I wouldnt cry to bad

I was camped in the alpine in southern B.C. and woke up to over an inch of snow in my camp on Thursday the 14th.

Was up at the lake hunting for the last couple of days, ran into snow at 4000 feet on Thursday, it came down that night to about 2800 feet, that day the morning was spent trying to walk well away from the trees as big globs were coming off the trees, by Saturday the sun was back out and snow back up high. Lots of broken shrubs and branches as they are still in leaf and the snow was too heavy for them.
