Can make it to the range but not to work?;)

It's funny how folks from East of the Rockies can't even drive in the hills here during the summer. The snow ain't the problem, it's fallen tree's, inadequate snow equipment, inexperienced winter drivers and hero's in their 4x4's demonstrating that indeed, 4x4's do not stop any faster than anyone else.

My theory is let all the dummies drive into the ditch the first day, then it may be safe to drive. We had a one day record in Abbotsford.

hehehe, sissy West coasters. There ain't no such thing as a 'snow day' here ;)
Nope.... you have lots' of 'em- from about Nov. to May! :p I wonder if I'll see anyone in shorts at Superstore this afternoon. There were a couple just before the snow hit.

Problem here is that we don't get this every year (although it used be much snowier when I was a kid in Vancouver in the '50s and '60s) and we're just not prepared for it. My all-season radials can cope with most of our winter weather, but not with the 13" of snow I had in my driveway, even in 4WD drive on my Suzuki. At least it's fluffy (at least for now!) so not that hard to shovel. I will definitely have real winter tires for next winter, though, even if I only need them once or twice. And the new house will have battery and generator backup in case of power failure. We were w/o power for about 13 hours after the big rain a few weeks ago but so far it's OK here. It was mild then but if the power went out now it'd cool off pretty quick inside in this old house.

I have lots to do inside today, quite aside from "real" work. I'd load some ammo for my 6.5x54 but there is no likelihood of getting to the range until all this nonsense disappears. Then we'll have to wait for the flooding to recede, of course. "Life is just one d**n thing after the other."

The cats have it all figured out- they just sleep, knowing that the human will take make sure the food bowls are full and the heat is on.

My 8 Mag brass finally showed up along with some more mail order goodies:dancingbanana:
Winter is prepping brass time so maybe tonight get going on that.
Mostly double up on the long undies and dream about coyote hunting on the weekend.

:D That's a bad day for sure!

Shovvelling ARRGHHHH. If I could I would prefer to be inside warm and loading up some .280 with some new components I got yesterday at a gun show

I started my day by shoveling snow for the 3rd time in 24 hours.

Then I resized, expanded and put primers into about 300 454 Casull brass.

I then went shopping for a few essentials like a new battery for my digital caliper and 2 part epoxy glue to reinstall my Delta medalions onto my Colt Delta Elite grips.

While I was at Costco today some idiot trying as hard as he could to not look cold came strolling in wearing short pants.
