Snubby's pictures......

NAA,

I can't complain about how Glocks work. They work very well but they are an ugly, blocky gun. That's my opinion and I know a lot of shooters will disagree.

I've reverted to what I started with 45 years ago: a revolver. Since I'm retired, I can be choosy now.

Deckard,

I see you got my PM. Although I've owned two Glocks, a 26 and a 30, and never had a problem with either, I never liked them. Glocks have no soul.

John

I mostly like the .357 SIG caliber in that Glock. The rest does not do anything for me, but for carry I think light and small is key. I don't have to look at a holstered Glock. That is why this thing interests me....rhetorically. I think it looks good.

BTW: The single stack version is 1.125" thick.

A few o' my prohibs... The ppk and Airweight I can understand sorta, bit the SW15 ? Unfortunately it don't have to be tiny to be labelled prohib:(

Take a look at:

www.gunnersalley.com

I've ordered two holsters from them. Both were Don Hume, which is a brand I've always liked. Service was very good.

Alessi makes excellent holsters but there is a long wait. I was lucky and got two Alessi Talons on gun forums. One is for a J frame and the other is for my Para's.

I don't know if they ship to Canada.

I was just funnin' with ya! :p

Hey, I used to think the 1911 was 'old ugly' too but man today I think it's a thing of beauty.

But yes, I gotta give ya that Glocks have no character. But I'd trust my life to one if I had to. And I can't say that a wheelgun would be a worse choice either. ;)

They sure do! The service is excellent, and they ship to Canada all the time, they told me. - Jeff/1911.

NAA,

I realize that you're just messing with you. I will get even. Old age and treachery will overcome youth and in-experience. You needn't check your back. I'll never attack from the rear. I want to see the look of shock, pain, surprise, and tears. :)

I carried a Glock 26 for a few years when I worked for the courts, after retiring. We knew in advance that an arrest was going to be made or a search performed or we were looking for an absconder. When any of those situations arose, the Glock was put away and the Sig 220 was brought out. I had more confidence in the Sig .45 than I had in the Glock 9MM. Fortunately, I never had to use either.

I bought the Glock 30 because it was available at a good price: $400 with a total of five mags, night sights, a holster, and about 300 rounds of factory LEO ammo. I shot it and found it was nearly as accurate as the Sig. My son-in-law really liked it and my wife convinced me to give it to him. He still has it.

Both my Glocks functioned very well. Both were accurate. They just look ugly, boxy, and have no character. For various reasons, I have not shot an auto in months. I stick to my .357's or my latest toy, a Smith 625JM.

Here's one of the koldt short barrels.

Registered with the original 88mm barrel, 12(6). I am guessing maybe the only one in Canada registered to an individual as such:confused: The timing was lucky with this one and I'm happy it worked out:) . I got it new from Georgia directly to me.

koldt,

You paid too much. Couldn't you have chosen a real gun as the winner of the match? One made out of steel? One that has a soul?

John

PS: Just joking. Congratulations.:)

Deckard,

I bought an Adams Patent in Saint John, NB for $5.00. Of course, it's a wall-hanger and that was 50 years ago.

Correction: You lucky bastards
koldt, Your G27 is a beauty. Can't figure how you got it in when the G27 was introduced in 1996 and the ridiculous law C-68 took effect in 1995.

The key word being "introduced";) :D

Hey, I could sell the thing for $130 and double my money:) .

Had one of these 'given' to me, too by a friend who was getting out of firearms... It's a Model 36 "Chief's Special". The other one is a Model 37 "Airweight" but I only paid $125 CDN for it.
