So about your 180 project...

We likely won't proceed as there are so many 180 projects being developed.

Frankly, I have not had the time to run the business, and develop the gun as needed, so it has taken a back seat.

Fully understandable. How goes the Type 81? LMG & underfolder would be a nice addition... ;)

If you could do them with high polished blued finish and better QC (think 80's-90's polytechs), you wouldn't be able to keep them in stock.

there could still be an opportunity to provide different barrel/bolt combos for the 180?

I'd be in for a compatible 300 blackout barrel at the right price.

or a big bore conversion kit with 5 rd mags..

Yes, if we go ahead with our project. Otherwise we'll likely focus on the NR AR style guns that use more common parts.

Any plans for the export QBZ03 in 5.56x45? Or the Type81 will do also.

That said, support components for AR102, AR180 builds works too.

wouldn't that be exactly what the new 180 is? the way they describe it, it's an exact copy of the 180b, so it doesn't have a proprietary upper/lower like the MacDef or BCL, it's essentially an open source rifle! can't see why anyone wouldn't be able to make 180b compatible parts, or even full uppers?

plenty of niche to tap into.. upper with adjustable gas, big bore calibers (450 bush / 458 socom / 50 beo)

or maybe that oft asked for NR 7.62x25... if it could somehow use p762 mags, I'd be all over an upper like that!

Everyone with a P762 has been crying and screaming (rightfully) for more mags.

There's definitely a market for x39 uppers. If there's a market for x25, they would probably use tokarev mags as they are a lot more plentiful. But I don't see it. I see a market for x39 and 300blk.

I am mostly interested in a cost effective NR upper/lower that takes most AR15 parts...

Seeing the Canadian made "180" come to market at the price point it's at really makes me question the validity of the upper/lower sets being made it Canada selling for $1,000...

If you folks can bring a cost effective upper and lower that is non restricted and cost effective to market I'd be in for several. I really would prefer more AR15 compatibility than the 180 has. Right now though that 180 is mighty tempting given its price point and it being Canadian made.
