So after seeing Cyanide's setup...

No from what I understand these stocks are surplussed military in good condition.

The thing is even if you make the adapter work with the Chu stock, you would still have the bedding issues. If I were to send you a chu stock what do you think it would cost to have you attach the shotgun adapter and paint the stock?

Depends on the amount of work you want done.

Send me a PM as I feel this would be way off topic and get the mods in a tizzy.

Again, my experience with the Norc M305 stocks have been positive. They have a GI fit and respond to the GI fixes.

That's why I was playing with the idea of using a shotgun adapter. if it doesn't work, I can always mount it up on my Remington. The Chu stock I have is nice and solid, and the receiver fits in nice and tight. The free stock I have inbound is still a variable, but I'll take a look at that one once I get it in my hands.

I'm also looking at using flat stock and building from scratch, mostly because I have about 3 feet worth that I can mess with, leftovers from a flat-towing mount I had on my old truck, so those materials are free. I won't start hacking up a stock until I have something in my hands, or at least some good full scale photos to visualize what the end result would possibly be.

I was more trying to establish the cost, The modification itself is easy if you have the right tools. The real problem as I stated is the stocks, $200+ in work on a stock with a negative value is a bad choice but as always YMMV. I say negative value cause it will cost you time and energy to remove it from the rifle and put it in the garbage can. :D

Here is one that I did up to test out some of the concepts for our assault stock design. Its built of a fiberglass stock and basically a modification of one I had Turf build for me a couple years ago. JB weld is your friend.

LOL. Honestly I have no idea who makes this adapter. I cut off the AR grip mounting point and did some other messing to get the stock to accept AK grips and bring up the height of the buffer tube. If you think that stock is nice then you should check out the pictures of the one we're working on.
