Said it was a new policy. They have to question the contents.

She got a rather puzzled/alarmed look on her face when I told her it was a mold LOL.

Be dam'd if I going to tell them I'm shipping firearms. That's just begging to have it opened for inspection.

Anyone else encounter this yet?

I just sent and received a couple this week, latest was yesterday, no questions were asked. Good buddies with the manager, so I'll ask him tomorrow, but sounds like BS

They can ask. As long as it is allowed to be shipped, you don't need to tell them. "Stainless steel machine tools" is a good one.

When asked I told them I was shipping dildos and anal beads. The lady didn't look impressed. The kid was laughing though.

Since I moved to BC from Ontario I get asked every time what's in the box, even when its just a small non firearms related parcel. You just lie to them to avoid any hassle

I work for Canada post, they should NOT be asking you the contents of the package, and instead only to declare that there are no illegal or dangerous goods in the package (Such as live ammo, etc). it was always something we had to check off manually anyways, now it just forces the prompt onto the customer and opens the conversation, not everyone is going to approach it properly.

I have been asked by Can Post if the package contained a firearm. When I replied in the affirmative, I was told - "We don't ship firearms." I asked - "Since when?" He referred to a manual, didn't find what he was looking for so he referred to another. Closing that one, he asked - "Is it loaded?" Answer - "Of course. I always ship loaded guns." The people waiting behind me laughed as he accepted the package.

Another time it was a handgun and again I was asked. I said it was "machined parts". Another time when it was a handgun, I was asked if it was a firearm and if it was loaded. I just gave her "the look"and she accepted it.

Brain dead people.
