So..............did you get one?

Double check your tracking # guys, you might get some good news. Mine was scheduled for delivery on the 18th but I got a notification that they attempted delivery today.

Nevermind.
It came this morning!

Initial observations...

I got lucky every step of the way on this deal.
Got it ordered (one of the first).
First batch shipped.
Already have my rifle in S.Ontario.

Now the not so lucky part...
My beaver barf isn't the best. It is a light colour, not dark. Right away I didn't like it.
Not the end of the world, luck of the draw.
I already have a set I can swap out. Plus it gives me an excuse to order a real wood set (if I'm lucky enough to snag one when they come in).

As said before the bayonet and sheath are not that great. Gross really. I didn't even want to touch mine. Same with the sling. (lol, i know...easy princess.)
Again, not the end of the world for me. I want the gun, not all the other stuff.
Who got the brand new one in the video?

Mags and pouch are almost perfect!

Gun is mint.

Now the interesting part.
This 2P looks to be a bit different than older 2P's.
I guess they made some design changes?
The trigger guard thing is bent on the new one. Not sure why they did this.
Not sure if there is anything else.

All in all
I would like to thank Wolverine for this deal.
It was a good experience and I'd say I'm happy overall.

It's really neat to have the original box and manual.
Best part was the sheet in there with the test fire groups.
Lots of czech writing.
Oh, and dated 2013! This must have been one heck of an ordeal for Wolverine.
Again, thanks for all the work.
 
Mine will be here tomorrow and I'm hoping everything is in great shape, but it's the luck of the draw and I get what I get. The sad part is I just sold my mint CZ with folding stock, unfired condition since I bought it from the dealer, mint bayo, new sheath, new mag pouch and perfect condition mags. I sold it last month for a couple hundred cheaper than this one cost. It was a big mistake to sell it and something I regretted, I'm glad I was lucky enough to get one from this batch to replace it.
 
There is a difference between the old CZ 858's and the ones we are getting I noticed. The front sight has a complete circle instead of a U shape like the VZ 58 and the old CZ 858. The ones we are getting are like the SKS, I'm a bit disapointed because I find the U shape to be alot more clearer when you shoulder the rifle, I like to see where the round hits. I didn't receive it yet so maybe I'm paranoying for no reason. If it's that big of a deal I might just grind it and reblue the grinded steel tips.

The one I received yesterday had the U shaped front sight.

If you check CZ 858's pics in google you will find some is U shape some is O shape~~~ for me both are good

Oh man I can only hope... And I wasn't gonna ask them to find me one and be that kind of silly annoying customer. I have a feeling it's going to be a complete circle though, I'm never lucky in these situations lol
