Went ww collecting for a week. my good friend Stiggy and I just finished sorting the last bucket.

I think we have about 200lbs of 99% lead weights, assuming we missed the odd zinc weight.

Not bad for $60.

So anybody have a rough idea of what % of weight we will lose for the metal clippies?

I've often wondered this myself....I'm gonna go 15-20% loss...just guessing, from my experience

100 to 120 lb lead ingots -- depending on size could be better (bigger= better)

i picked up 2 buckets 5 gal each filled to the top, came out from 200lbs about down to 160lbs after metal clips were removed, a ton of casting into loaf pans and muffin tins at 15 and 2.2 lbs each.
