Sherbrooke store :p (who knew!) Not sure how many he has. PM me for more info. Great place to deal with. ;)

Last year I found a case in a local fishing store in our town...and promply bought it even though I didn't have an SKS then.

They had no idea what the stuff was, and I opened it right in the store to show them...which became the small town event of the day. :D

Keep an eye out for them little green crates. :)

I have never seen a crate like that before so this was quite interesting.
Do they sell crates of 7.62/54 in crates like that? If I found one for cheap I could totaly see myself buying one and then looking for a mosin. I don't see the supply of 7.62/39 running out for decades but it will get more expensive. I read somewhere that the price stayed the same for years and then during the current war in Iraq went up 50 to 60%

As crazy as it may sound, I opened my first crate with three Bic pens bundled together through the loop.

This was because I had it delivered to the law office where I was working and was eager to see what they looked like.

Why are you all looking at me like that? The boss was just as interested as I was to see the contents, he loaned me the third pen :p

Not sure I would have wanted to do that with bullets flying !!!

I'm sure the adrenaline rush of combat would have given you the burst of superhuman strength needed to literally rip the top of the sardine can off with your bare hands with hulk-like power.

That or just get the doped up East German olympic swimmer do it for you. I know for a fact that those East German girls could break an oak tree in half if they wanted to. Horse steroids, they're a wonderful thing.

Not a week goes by that someone doesn't ask how to open one of these crates.

Well lately it's been taking me an hour and a half to watch 60mins, so you do the math on my attempt..blood and all :bangHead:

I don't want to sound paranoid . but I bought a crate of chec 7.62x54r the same kind of crate your ammo came in and it was covered in mould . check the joints were it;s put together and the bottom. if you find some spray it with bleach it will kill it . you don't want it to transfer into your home.clean your gun good to it;s corrisove also.

man I had to open one today and for some reason proutfoot your attempt only worked for halfway.

by god..

I said #### it and I reached in and piled all the ammo to the side, and threw out the tin box.
