So How's the Benelli MR1 Holding Up?

Thinking of getting something in .223 for more tactical rifle sessions and the MR1 is a contender so I'm curious if anyone has any feedback.

They are accurate, non-restricted with a good trigger.
Ergos are so-so as far as the controls go ...bolt and mag release, etc.
If you're thinking tactical rifle course material...look elsewhere.
You'd be way better off with an AR...or maybe an XCR if you were thinking non-restricted.

Well I was digging the 10 round mag option. Plus I'm not big on the AR, except I do like the clean lines of the M&P15. And being left handed having the bolt handle on the right side works better for me. All I'd want to add would be a red dot of some sort (Eotech).

I've seen one at International in Surrey BC, and another at Italian Sports in Vancouver. I suppose anyone selling Benelli can get it.

It's the first year for this rifle and it might be better to see if there's any bugs that need to be worked out. I'm just wondering.

Yes indeed. I will be in the market for a 223 for a beaver/ coyote/ whatever type rifle. If it is not black I do not want it.

Just a quick question, I guess : where do those two projections on the bolt-carrier "fit" with the lower receiver ?

I'm having trouble re-assembling the &#^($ thing - maybe that's why they designed it to run so "clean" ?.....

Of note for lefties. I read a review that stated that without a brass deflector shooting left is a pain. Watching vids on youtube shows brass flying all over the place, so I imagine brass facials could be a real problem.

Buy the LAR-15 pistol mags for your 223/556 and your good to go ...

as long as your rifle take standard AR-15 mags

I like the accuracy and reliablity of mine, but I've been spoiled by the AR series so other black rifles are just "Not an AR".
Accuracy does not seem to be an issue for me. 2 MOA at 100 yds, and I'm a bad shot.

Just because I don't really need a black rifle I'm selling mine. Need the money for trap shooting.
