Well I started with this gun in mind, thinking a 22 wmr would be cool, but swayed to looking at several 22lr models just for cost of ammo.

2 problems with that though....

1) There doesn't seem to be a 452 Lux in Canada in .22lr right now. Every website and dealer told me they are on order and don't know if or when they will get em.
2) I have a few .22 lr guns already.

So anyways in all my searching for a 22 lr, several dealers had the .22 wmr in stock, so I finally gave up on the .22 lr and ordered the magnum.

I have read a million reviews with praises for this gun, and many saying that in a .22 mag it can't be beat for the price so I am pretty excited.

This will be used mainly as a plinker, and the iron sights on the 452 lux are fantastic on the ones I have handled. I almost went with the 455 for the option to change barrels but the sights really made the difference as I don't plan on scoping it.

One thing I read was that this gun has had issues with the .22 mag not feeding right, but these seem to be few and far between but just wondering if anyone has had this issue?

I just finished spending my whole day researching the 452 and also trying to find one in .22lr (only LH seem to be left). I haven't found anything bad about it, including the issues you are wondering about. From what I've read, I wouldn't worry about. Enjoy!

I also just bought a lux 452 in 22lr, & had no problem finding left hand models only-------good thing I'm left eyed, left footed, left everything! & the sights on the lux are amazing even for my 60 year old left dominant eyes!

Go to www.rimfirecentral.com
Go to the CZ section. People over there are extremely knowledgable about CZs.

You picked a bad time to want a 452...they have fully transitioned to the 455 line. I have a 452 Mannlicher full-stock in .22 LR and it seems very sought after now. :)

Never heard of failure to feed. Defiantly register with rimfire central.
Cz is still making the 452 just in left hand for the american but still have the scout, ultra lux and the trainer. The rest are 455

The feeding issues are due to the springs in the mags being assembled backwards. It seems that a couple of batches of mags shipped over the last couple of years went out like this. 5 of the 6 mags I have for my CZs were like this.

Simple fix though if I can explain it right. You have the top of the mag (where the follower is), bottom of the mag, front (muzzle end) and back (stock end) of the mag...take the mag apart noting how the spring is positioned. What you want to do is flip the spring front to back. The top of the spring remains the top. Reassemble and send a few downrange. Should take care of all of your feeding problems.

Thanks,
Cal.

Well I checked and it's still there, no wonder you lose out! Whats ya waiting fer an hour has gone by?

I am almost as far east as you can get except for great old Newfoundland and I am buying almost as far west as you can go, right on your door step. lol
