So I bought a Glock....

Gen2's were the epitome of glock design IMO.

The finger grooves in the Gen3's were tolerable but only just, and the gen4's are still having some teething problems that will probably get fixed in the next year or so. If/when they get the gen4 straightened out then I might have to change that position but it's a wait and see thing for now.

I heard Gen 4 issues were sorted out.

My father owns a Glock 17 Gen 2 barely fired in very mint condition.

No doubt about it, Glocks are ugly.

But they kinda grow on you once you shoot 'em for a bit. ;) :D

They sure are "its half the fun :)"

Nothing better then someone at the range making fun of your glock. Only to find out how well it can shoot in the right hands :D

Glock accuracy is just fine. I recently took an IPSC shooting course from one of the top shooters in the sport. It was a one on one session that cover the basics of pistol shooting. I have always blamed a portion of my in accuracy with my Gen 4 17 on the gun itself. My instructor took the pistol and fired 10 shots in a rapid manner and produced a very small group. Obviously it is the operator, not the firearm itself that is responsible for the majority of accuracy issues. Needless to say I am doing lots of dry firing to tune up my trigger pull!!

They're no Berettas when it comes to looks but they are good looking (in less is more kinda way) guns esp gen4 models.

Well it arrived and I have to say, even though it's (only) a Gen 2 it's got a nice feel to it. The night sights are nice and bright too which is nice. There is some wear on it due to being an ex sidearm. Won't get to shoot it for a bit due to work though. :(

Sounds like you got a nice one!;)

Couldn't resist...
